Franchisees from all over the country traveled to Kansas City this January for the 2019 American Shaman Franchise Meeting. Over 150 franchisees were in attendance, along with guest speakers including Dr. Jesse Lopez, Dr. Robert Kauffman, and former Kansas City Chiefs player Neil Smith and Tim Grunhard. Vince Sanders, CEO and Bud Miley, President gave presentations on the history of the American Shaman product and tips for business success. Terry Owen and Joe Lubin of PRADCO hosted a workshop on personality styles, management, and customer service.
The purpose of the Franchise Meeting was to inspire and support franchisees in their business, as well as to provide beneficial resources to drive sales and provide advertising guidelines. Marc Sayler, Vice President of Franchising, announced new franchise management software, employee training materials, digital signage, and a Print Portal for franchisees to order signage and print marketing. Brandon Carnes, a franchisee that owns over 20 stores in the KC metro area as well as Florida, spoke about his experiences as an American Shaman store owner. The meeting enabled franchisees to meet directly with company owners and executives, and to participate in panels on Cannabidiol research and advertising.
